Jonathan Parker graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland in 2003 double majoring in Philosophy and an interdisciplinary major in Political Science and Theology. After teaching in Japan for two years he entered the Masters program in Philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Louvain) in Belgium and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007. Parker entered the PhD program in Philosophy at the University of North Texas in the Fall of 2007. He has served as a teaching fellow, however primarily serves the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies as a research assistant. He has recently presented work on such topics as the role of traditional ecological knowledge in confronting contemporary environmental issues, and the relationship between science and society; he continues to work in these areas.
